It’s a special two-part day this month.  We start with a car show to kick-off and celebrate the new “Chrome” Exhibit at the Historical Society of Long Beach. Follow the trail of classic cars from the HSLB’s location at 4260 Atlantic all the way up to George’s 50s Diner where you can eat and listen to the DJ spin the best of the oldies.  You’ll find more cars in front of the Expo Arts Center and in the parking lot of Bixby Joe coffee house.  Georgie’s Place will have cars and live music and you’ll want to see the Ferris Bueller Ferrari when you are there.

 

Then get ready for Summer Camp from 3pm to 6pm that’s loaded with fun with a beer trolley, jazz jam, silent film with live score, food and drink specials, swimming, art classes, shopping deals, art show, story time, beer making, cheese pairings, and a camp summit with George Washington and General Cornwallis’s special red coat assistant.

Expo Arts Center, 4321 Atlantic Ave., South Gallery – Featuring Rimi Abu Hussein. Rimi creates beautiful, complex, and colorful abstract pencil drawings in an architectural style, and also creates images of buildings and other iconic structures. His work hangs in the Mayor’s office.
