The Cute Little Wedding Chapel

Learn how Alan Katz traded roasts for rings and opened the Cute Little Wedding Chapel.

Alan Katz moved to Long Beach in 11th grade and attended Wilson High School while migrating north each day to work at his parents restaurant.

“Back in the late 70’s, my parents owned The Tenderloin on Atlantic and San Antonio. I’ve always had an affinity for this area.”

Fast forward and Katz traded roasts for rings, opening The Cute Little Wedding Chapel in Downtown Long Beach in front of the famed Breakers building. “After eight years I felt like I was outgrowing downtown and I started to look around,” said Katz.

“I wanted to find a business friendly area that was focused on family. I remembered how awesome Bixby Knolls was when I was younger and found the most awesome place that really looked like a chapel. When my couples come here they feel safe and we’re surrounded by unique businesses.”

Every day, couples go to the Cute Little Wedding Chapel to elope, secure their marriage license, hold a wedding surrounded by friends and family or set up a beach wedding.

When couples go to visit us in Bixby Knolls, they can picture themselves growing a family here and that’s a huge asset.

Thank you Bixby Knolls for living up to my expectations and helping me to thrive and succeed. ‘I DO’ Love Bixby Knolls. When I am here I feel I am home.”
