Bamboo Teri House
The best Japanese taste in town!
We are Mr. and Mrs. Ota, founders of Bamboo Teri House. We chose this location at the strip mall on Atlantic and Wardlow because it was close to home (2 blocks away). We started out in 1985, George had a gardening business but he came to a crossroad and needed to change his profession, so he thought why not start a Japanese restaurant?
We offer take-out, dine-in and delivery and feature a variety of Japanese dishes including teriyaki, tempura, curry, udon, soba, sushi, and ramen! We are a casual, mom and pop joint with great food and a reasonable price point.
We’ve been a staple in this community for over 38 years and we are passionate about what we do.
We’ve endured many challenges through the 38 years, we made it through the LA riot, as well as the 2008-2009 economic recession, we had to lay off some of our hard-working employees. With the recent pandemic we were in a financial crisis because we had to close the restaurant for 2 weeks during the beginning when our one of our employees caught Covid. In all these situations, we learned to adapt, pray a lot, and move forward.
We need to keep up with the times, so we are making plans to try mobile ordering with QR code when customers dine in. We hope this will be successful, please provide feedback when you visit or feel free to email us. We appreciate your continued support so much!
